Obituary of ASTALOS – Paul

January 3, 1922 – December 24, 2009 Paul Astalos, beloved father and grandfather passed away with his family at his side, on Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the age of 87 years. He was born in Felsőnyárád, Hungary and immigrated to Canada as a young boy. Paul, with his brother-in-law and best friend Joe Vidra, owned and operated Western Upholstering for many years. He worked hard and enjoyed family vacations, fishing, golfing, watching sports and spending time with family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters and sons-in-law Irene and Bob Bresnahan, Mary and Gerry Preston; grandsons Kevin Bresnahan and Scott Preston; his loving sister Ethel and very special brother-in-law Joe Vidra. Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary on Novemebr 17, 2009, grandson Darren in 1991 and sisters Julia and Annie.
