Obituary of SAMPSON – Alton Conway

March 31 1921 – December 19, 2009 Alton beloved husband of Betty of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Alton was born and raised in North Hatley, QC. In 1943 he went to Sudbury, ON and worked in the nickel mines until his retirement. He moved to Calgary, AB in 1997. Alton was a quiet and simple man. He did not change the world in the great ways that make people sit up and take notice but he changed it in the simple ways that everyday people do notice. He loved his wife dearly, raised his children as best he could and worked hard to support his family. He loved country and western music, camping and playing cards. Alton was a very special man and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Bernice (Betty), son Terry and daughter Judy, all of Calgary, AB. At Alton’s request, there will be no funeral service.
