Obituary of SOMERS – Kenneth Gordon

November 20, 1933 – December 17, 2009 Ken Somers, beloved husband of Wyonne Somers of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2009 at the age of 76 years. Ken loved sports coaching flag football, hockey and baseball. He was always at all three of his children’s games cheering them on. Ken continued his support with his granddaughters attending as many events that he could. His granddaughters will always remember his little gestures, funny sayings and jokes as he enjoyed bringing a smile to their faces. Besides his loving wife of fifty-three years Wyonne, Ken is survived by his children; Daughter and son-in-law Terry Somers-Barnes and Cliff Barnes; two sons and daughter-in-law, Barry Somers and Dean and Debbie Somers; four granddaughters, Carmen Harpur, Leah Somers, Breanne Harpur and Sami-Jo Somers. A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
