Obituary of JOHNSTON – Anne

On December 15, 2009, Anne decided that it was time to leave and be with those who made the journey before her. She held on until all had said goodbye, and slipped away from those standing near who would tend to her every need. Waiting for her, in the reception party, will be her parents John and Katherine; husband Don; sister Tina; grandson Jimmy; family and friends. Her wishes of departing from her home were realized with the tender, loving, and heartfelt homecare from her daughters in the manner in which she loved, appreciated and had requested. As Anne moved towards her journey’s beginning, she was made more comfortable with the capable, compassionate and intuitive care from Sue and her palliative care team including Colleen, Patricia, Helen, Wendy, and Linda from Comcare. Left in the present are Anne’s immediate family – Lorraine and Bob, Mark and Parney, Stephen and Stacey, Cathy and Jim, Terri and Ken; grandchildren Cathy, Barb, Joe, Bev, Tony, Morgan, Chelsea, Cody, Kaitlyn, and Tommy; great-grandchildren Connor, Logan and Kaila. A Gathering in Anne’s honour will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
