Obituary of HOSEGOOD – William John

January 10, 1925 – September 4, 2009 William John Hosegood went to be with his Lord and Saviour on September 4, 2009 at the age of 84 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Audrey Reid-Hosegood, and was predeceased by Pat, his first wife of fifty-three years, both of whom he dearly loved and considered to be the most wonderful of women. Bill is dearly missed by his daughters, Diana (Hans) Hirschmanner of Singapore and Linda (Bryan) Derman of Vancouver; his grandchildren, Shaun (Sarah), Andrea, Julie and Laura have many fond memories of all the time spent with him. He was predeceased by his three sisters, Vera, Myree and Connie and by two grandchildren. Bill had a 34 year career with ESSO Resources, was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the ESSO Annuitants, and JD&J Curlers and a longtime volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Bethany Care. Bill devoted his time and energy to his family and especially loved camping with his grandchildren. Bill’s love of life touched all those who knew him.
