Obituary of FISHER – Florence Barbara

September 23, 1929 – September 3, 2009 Florence Barbara Fisher (nee Dahl) passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the age of 79 years after a short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Florence had a passion for gardening and enjoyed creating delicious and nutritious meals for the family and for the many potluck dinners hosted by the church. She valued dearly her time spent with family and friends and her relationship with God. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her two children, John (Rhena) Fisher of Edmonton and Barb (Morgan) Bridger of Cranbrook; three grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stacy), Laura and Allison Banting; great grandchild Zabrina Banting; brother John Alvin (Ollie) Dahl; sisters, Dorothy (Cliff) Trevelyan and Mable Dahl; and the many nieces and nephews and their families. Florence was tragically predeceased by her husband Howard Allen Keating Fisher in 1955; and her four siblings, Arthur Dahl, Martha Causton, Esther Ramsay, and Alan Dahl. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
