Obituary of VERVENA – Maria Nicola

February, 16, 1921 – August 29, 2009 Maria Vervena of Calgary passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Maria was born in Basciano, Italy in1921. She immigrated to Canada to join her husband in 1971 and worked for McLeod Brothers as a seamstress until her retirement. Maria is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Vince and Karen, Claudio and Susan, and Sergio; a daughter Ida; and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Giacomina as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Giovanni in 2002.
