Obituary of Brent Lee Dickson
Brent Lee Dickson, beloved husband of Helen of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the age of 48 years. Besides his loving wife, Brent is survived by his son Brandin Mills; his mother, Anne Dickson; brother, Jay Dickson and step-children, Derek and Nicole Wasylenko. He was predeceased by his father Art Dickson and brother Rennie Dickson. Born and raised in Calgary, Brent also lived in Red Deer, Edmonton, Prince Albert, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Kelowna before settling back at home. He enjoyed sports – attending Stampeders games and playing hockey. Brent worked for many years in construction and many weekends building decks for his friends – he enjoyed a good deck and a barbeque and the socializing that came with both. Anyone who needed a hand Brent was always there to help. Brent had worked hard on his and Helen’s home and the lower level was also an important social centre for family and friends. Brent had many long-time friends from school, work and sports and they and their families were very important to him. He had such a great sense of humour and so loved to tease. He also loved and missed his dog Boomer. After Art’s passing, Brent was a great support to Anne. He was an important part of many people’s lives and will be so deeply missed. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
