Obituary
Obituary of Wilhelm Kreis
Wilhelm Kreis of Calgary passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. The Lord brought him home after a lengthy battle with cancer with his family by his side. Wilhelm, born in the Ukraine, immigrated with his family to Canada eventually settling in Calgary, where he met and married Christel Lengsfeld.
Wilhelm is survived by his wife Christel; daughters, Helga (Earl) Slobodian and Karen Kreis; sons, Alexander (Bernice) Kreis and Daniel (Vanessa) Kreis; six brothers and one sister; and grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Kilian, Caressa, and Nathan. Wilhelm had a love for life and people. If he was not at a social gathering, out fishing, playing in the brass band, playing his harmonica to friends or strangers, he would find someone’s project to complete. He was known to all as a man with a great heart and a never ending smile.
