Obituary of Maria A. Huysman

It is with gratitude and sadness that we celebrate the life of Maria, mother, grandmother and friend, who left us, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Bow View Manor in Calgary. Maria had a rich and varied life, which led her from her youth in Holland, living through World War II, to her farm experiences in Quebec and Kelowna, the birth of her children and life in Nelson, BC, to her working life, retirement and communion with her wilderness in and around Calgary. She is held close in the hearts of her children, Dirk, Antonia and Maria; their partners Mary Ann, Sam and Ken; her grandchildren, Adrian, Anna, Rebecca, Claire, Martin, Nicole, Kate, Donovan, Mosey, Joel, and Alina. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) today, May 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
