Obituary of Tomas SANCHEZ

Dad was part of the first wave of Filipino professionals who planted roots in Calgary in the early 70s. Mom (Josie) and us kids (Noel, Rene, Alex, Grace, Gina) joined him shortly after. Dad is respected for his commitment to family, generosity, strength of character, and for being an overall nice guy. Despite losing Mom five years ago, he continued volunteering, entertaining friends and family with his intelligent wit and sense of humour, cooking delicious meals, delighting in the company of his apos (13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren), and cheering for his favourite boxers and basketball teams. Until his admission to hospital, Dad worked tirelessly for the Diamond Seniors Club. Thank you to everyone at Peter Lougheed Hospital, especially Dr. Ben Wilson, Dr. Scott Samis, Dr. Gene Vitug.
