Obituary of Red Gun
Alexander (Alex) was born on the Siksika Nation on August 30, 1927.
He leaves behind his loving wife of fifty-two years, Christine Red Gun, his daughters, Carmen (Rufus), Josephine (Allan), Ann Marie (Leonard) and his son Errol (Marcella). He is also survived by his sisters, Rachel, Patricia (Reggie), Lillian (Roy), Bernadette, and his brothers, John, Harry (Rose), and Francis, along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family too numerous to mention.
In his earlier years, Alex worked for the RCMP as a Special Constable. Alex was also a member of the Kings Own Calgary Regiment from 1960-1963, he was also a member of the Canadian Corps. of Commissioners. Alex was a Certified Painter, he loved to paint, he traveled all over Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan painting. He loved spending time with his family and friends and he will be sadly missed by all. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Rosaria; and siblings, Elizabeth, Dorothy, Phyllis, Christie and Joseph.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Siksika Nation, AB on Friday, November 21, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with prayers starting at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in Little Chicago Cemetery.
