Condolences
I used to flat with Tannin in Edinburgh back in 2002, and I was just thinking this morning how I really should look up Tannin. Like Danielle wrote above, I heard all about her wedding to Billy and even saw some of the beautiful photos. And I just thought time and distance was the reason that we hadn’t been in touch for a while.
It’s been a bit of a shock nearly four years after her passing to find this obituary, but I just wanted to let you know how wonderful it was to know Tannin. She was such a great person to be thrown together with in our motley flat of international students – she helped make it a year of laughter, of scandalously wicked humour, and fantastic times.
I just found out the sad news of Tannin’s passing. I know that it has been over 2 years since her death, but I just found out about it today. Tannin and I worked together at the Prairie Swine Center in Saskatoon and kept in touch after she left. The last I had heard from her, she had just gotten married to Billy and was so happy. For some reason, I thought about her today and wanted to find her, so I looked on the internet and found this site. Needless to say, I was so shocked. I know this probably may open up some wounds, but I could not go about my day without saying what a beautiful person your daughter was. Her smile and laugh was so infectious and I don’t think I have ever met someone so full of life. It saddens me that she was taken so young and I can only imagine what you have been through. Please know how much her friendship touched me and how much this news has affected me.
