Obituary of Florence McKenzie

It is with sadness that the family of Florence Hilda McKenzie announce her peaceful passing at the Mayfair Care Centre. Hilda was born in Warton, England, and immigrated to Calgary, Canada with her husband and three young children in 1950. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling, reading, walking, knitting and needlepoint. Hilda will be missed by her children, Ian (Aurelia), Gillian (Bernie), William (Carel); her six grandchildren, Christopher Peter Hurst (Teresa), Paul Frederick Hurst (Kristen), Stephanie Alicia Hurst, Jorie William McKenzie (Heather), Marshall Owen McKenzie and Sara Jayne McKenzie; as well as one great-grandchild Samuel Ananda Hurst. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert McKenzie. A Celebration of Hilda’s life will be held at Christ Moravian Church (600 Acadia Drive S.E.) on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
