Obituary of A. Victor Daugherty
Vic of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, June 17 2007 at the age of 81 years.
Vic was born in Lougheed, AB and grew up in the Isle of Man in the United Kingdom. During World War II Vic served with the Royal Air Force. After the war he worked Seismograph before beginning his career as a teacher. Vic was a school teacher from 1959-1974 with the Calgary School Board. He enjoyed golf, meeting his friends at the Royal Canadian Legion branch # 285 and his trips to the Isle of Man.
Vic is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Gary Daugherty and Robert and Laurie Daugherty; his daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Randy Corbett and by his three grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister and brother-in-law Hilda and Walter Love and by his two brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Elinor Daugherty and Doug and Norma Daugherty.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
