Obituary of Kelsi Rae Brooke Soahkapinakii Bird

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has called home our beautiful angel, Kelsi Bird (Wolf Plume). It is with our deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kelsi. Kelsi was born on June 1, 1994 and passed away on January 1, 2007 at the age of 12 years. She was raised by her mother Leslie and grandfather Fred who she knew and took as her father. Kelsi was just starting to get into sports, basketball was her new passion. She loved the pow-wow trail and going to church. She was a fun loving free spirit who loved to play pranks. She was known by all of her family as “Mennis” because of her mischievous persona. Her laugh was contagious and her heart was large she loved everyone she encountered. Kelsi will be missed by her mother Leslie; brothers, Denzel and Dralin; sister Montana; special cousins, Jenaya and Kyla; uncles, Fred Jr. (Andrea), Darwin and Robert; Her grandpa Fred Sr.; great-grandmother Eve Yellow Old Woman; Lucy Prairie Chicken; as well as adopted grandparents Alvin and Helen Lepp. Kelsi was predeceased by her grandmother Delphine Bird. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from the Yellow Old Woman, Bird, Delaney, Wolf Plume, Crazy Bull, Prairie Chicken, Steinhauer, Russell, Mountain Horse, Small Eyes and Heavy Runner families. Apologies to those we have missed.
