Obituary of Henry Hank DYCK

DYCK, Henry “Hank” March 12, 1937 – Lowe Farm, Manitoba August 17, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta Hank beloved husband of Irlene Dyck (nee Bergen) of Calgary, AB, passed away on August 17, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Hank was a welder by trade and started Superior Portable Welding in 1964, and Superior Pressure Vessels in 1982. He loved to spend time camping especially with his motorhome. He collected old John Deere tractors and loved travelling around the US and Canada picking up these old tractors. Hank was a member of First Assembly and served on the deacon board there for many years. He was head usher for over 20 yrs. Hank had a heart for seniors and was instrumental in starting seniors groups as well as Ministry In Motion charity. Hank was faithful, a servant and giver to his family. Hank is survived by wife of 56 years Irlene; sons and daughter-in-laws Kevin and Janice Dyck of Edmonton and Byron and Cherie Dyck of Calgary; his precious grandchildren Amanda, Cassandra (fiancé Todd Beleznay), Alyssa, Kaitlyn and Anika Dyck; his two step-grandchildren Emma and Daniel Merryweather of Calgary; sister and brother-in-law Marion and Norman Kehler of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and nephew Jeremy Kehler from Winnipeg. He was predeceased by parents and his sister Margaret Dyck. The family would like to thank the South Health Campus, Dr. Batuyong and the Chinook Health Care for the care Hank has received. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street S.E.) on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home.
