Obituary of Donald Hamlin

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Don Hamlin, beloved husband of Mabel, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Don was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, and moved to Calgary in 1972. He was an avid sports fan, loved hockey (especially the Calgary Flames), baseball, and football. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #286. Besides his loving wife of 31 years, Don will be lovingly remembered and missed by Larry (Karen) Larocque, Darlene (Albert) Windrem, and Wayne (Bonnie) Larocque. He is also survived by 13 brothers and sisters, numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his parents, one sister and four brothers. A Celebration of Don’s life will be held at Marlborough Community Hall (636 Marlborough Way NE, upper level) on Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
