Obituary of Arthur Herron

Arthur (Grandpa) has a fervent belief in God and has passed away peacefully to be with his Savior. Born in Nanton, Alberta he spent most of his life in Calgary where he worked some forty-five years with Scott National Fruit Company, retiring as an officer of the company 24 years ago. He is predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Margaret May Herron (nee Darroch), and is survived by his sons; John (Joanne), Dan (Joy), and Bruce (Trish). He also has seven grandchildren. Grandpa was a fiercely independent, private person whose life focused around family and his brother Ralph. His happiness and comfort were centered in his home and church. Arthur led a honourable life, establishing high standards and solid values to which all that knew him will aspire. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 29, 2006 at the Centre Street Church, 3900 ? 2nd Street NE, Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Canadian National Institute of the Blind (CNIB) or the charity of your choice.
