Audrey Peitsch

Obituary of Audrey Mildred Peitsch

And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years. — Abraham Lincoln Audrey Peitsch of Calgary, passed away peacefully at her home after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 with her life partner Cece Parrish by her side, at the age of 54 years. Audrey was born in Beausejour, MB. She was the youngest and only girl in a family of five children. Growing up on the farm with a large family attributed to her incredible work ethic and lively personality. Audrey graduated from the University of Winnipeg, followed by the University of Manitoba with a Diploma in Education. She soon learned that sales was her calling. This led her to Calgary where she built a very successful sales agency – Wesun Agencies. Audrey was very passionate about her work, and cared deeply about her principles and customers. We always knew where to find Audrey if she wasn’t working – on the golf course. She was as proud of her long drives as she was of her business. Through Redwood Meadows Golf Club, she made many friends. Her shining moment was as Volunteer Coordinator for the Alberta Classic (Nation Wide Tour) the last two summers. Her energy, love of golf, and contagious laugh led her to win Volunteer of the Year from the PGA tour. The other success of the Nation Wide was the lifelong friendships she gained, particularly with her “adopted sisters” Wendy Robinson and Lynn Munro. Audrey always loved to come home after a long day on the road or on the course. Always waiting were Cece and his family with a hearty meal. There was always something to celebrate and Audrey always enjoyed a full house. She will be dearly missed by her mother Melania (Milly) Peitsch of Beausejour, brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Phoebe, Ralph and Christel, Lawrence, Raymond and Joanne, and all of her cherished nieces and nephews. She is also remembered by Cece’s family: children Andrea Parrish and Michael Parrish, his mother Margaret Parrish, sisters Joanna Moore and her children and grandchildren, Wendy Smeaton and her children, Jeanne Kozmyk-Parrish, and brother Dan Parrish. She was predeceased by her father, Arthur Fredric Peitsch. Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (43015 George Fox Trail, Cochrane, Alberta, T4C-2E6 Telephone: 932-3345) on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
