Obituary of Frederick Fred William COX

1928 – Coalhurst, Alberta 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Frederick “Fred” Cox of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Fred passed away peacefully at the Chinook Hospice on June 30, 2018. Fred was born in Coalhurst, AB on November 9, 1928. He was a proud Employee of CP Rail and enjoyed his job as an operator for many years. Fred was known for his love of travelling in his Motorhome in his later years through the US every winter with his favourite stops being Vegas and visiting his brother George in LA . Fred leaves behind his and Barbs children; sons Brian (Kim), David (Kelly) and his daughter Tracy (Rick). Fred was a loving grandfather to Kelli (Jules) and Travis. Fred will be missed by brothers, Doug and George. He will be dearly missed by his special friend Dauna. He spent many summers enjoying camping, water skiing and sitting in the sun at Kalamalka lake. The family would like to thank the staff at Renoir, Millrise and Chinook Hospice for their kindness and the respect they showed when caring for Fred. Thanks Dad for all the life lessons you taught us.
