Obituary
Obituary of Helen Margaret Conradson
It is with the deepest sorrow that Jim and Margaret Learmont announce the passing of their dearly beloved elder daughter, Helen, sister of Andrew and Penelope, in the comfort of her home and the presence of her family. Also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins in England, Canada, and the U.S.A. Helen was born in Birmingham, England and left with her parents at an early age to reside in South America, the Caribbean and various parts of the U.S. before settling in Calgary in 1967. She had a difficult life. Divorced after she developed schizophrenia, she fought a long, hard battle to rebuild a meaningful, fulfilling life for herself. She succeeded, only to be struck down first by breast cancer and then by rheumatoid arthritis. She overcame both with courage and stubborn determination to live life to the best of her ability, but the return of the breast cancer was one battle too many. We will always remember her courage, her lively interest in all around her and her sense of humour and we will miss her presence forever.
“May she be at peace at last.”
