Obituary of Violet Martha Kacsmar

Violet Martha Kacsmar passed away suddenly amongst family and friends on April 11th 2005 in Calgary, AB. Violet (Vi) was one of five children born to Clarissa and John Sadler; loving sister Marion; her Aunt Kate; and also life long friend Norman; and best friend Izzy. Violet was born April 22, 1928 in Montreal and grew up in Winnipeg, MB amongst numerous family and friends. Living in St. James, she met and married Thomas Ross (deceased) and began her legacy of family where she lived for many years. It was in Esterhazy, SK where she met and remarried Michael Kacsmar (deceased) and continued on her lineage with a total of ten surviving children. Vi will be laid to rest beside her loving husband Michael Kacsmar in Esterhazy, SK. Violet is survived by her loving children, Michael (Kathy), Patricia (Leigh), Cindy (Terry), Robb (Tannis), Clara (Wayne), Valerie (Martin), Glenn, James (Glenda), Nancy, Cheryl (Larry); her loving grandchildren, Michael, Savannah, Otho, Siena, Maya, Skye, Joshua, Shelby, Jessie, Kelsey, Taegan, Joel, Taylor, Brittany, Nicole, Tyler, Thomas, Jarvis (Nadia), Sara (Troy), Aaron (Rachel), Chandal (Spencer), Crystal (Raymond), Dione (Les), Carrie; her loving great-grandchildren; Ethan, Connor, Haley, Piper, Keely, Jonathan, Payton, Cortney, Corey and expecting two more; and one great-great grandson. Predeceased by siblings, Hilda, Irene and Frank (Jack). Loved by extended family and friends too numerous to mention and well known as “Mom” and “Auntie” by many. Her sense of humour, generosity and love of life will be cherished and missed for many generations.
