Obituary of William Sammons

Karl Sammons passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at the Foothills Medical Centre, after a brief illness at the age of 93 years. Karl was born and raised in Gleichen, AB, and married Bebe in 1939 and made their first home in the area, moving to Cochrane in 1948 and retiring to Calgary in 1970. Karl will be sadly missed by his children, Doreen Godlonton of Bay Tree, Allan (Wanda) Sammons of Cochrane and Mary (Wally) Russell of Delacour; five grandchildren, Fonda (Dan) Sparks, Kim (Blaine) Coates, Kevin Sammons (Andrea), Tracy (Dave) Wiebe, and Jolene (Stephen) Stovka; six great grandchildren. Karl was predeceased by his beloved wife Bebe one year ago also by his son-in-law Buck Godlonton in 2001. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
