Obituary of Caroline Amy Hardman

Caroline Amy Hardman (nee Mills) of Calgary, beloved mother of Anne Rasmussen and David Hardman, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the age of 102 years. Caroline was born on July 4, 1902 in Oswestry, Shropshire, England. She married Thomas Hardman on August 1, 1938 in England. Following her husband’s death she immigrated to Calgary in June 1971 to reside with her daughter and son-in-law. Caroline is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Anne and Finn Rasmussen of Calgary and son and daughter-in-law David and Kathryn Hardman of England; four grandchildren, Andrea (Michael) Chant, Karen (Andrew) Darrach, Heather (Michael) Love, and Dawn (Russell) Hardman; and six great-grandchildren, Majken and Erik Chant, Kaitlyn and Brooke Darrach, and Anthony and Katie Hardman; as well as many relatives in England and Wales. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Thomas in December 1968, as well as eight brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church (1121 – 14th Avenue S.W.) on Friday, March 18, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Brian E. Pearson officiating.
