Obituary of Salvatore Francesco Verardi

Salvatore Francesco Verardi, beloved husband of Mrs. Rosa Verardi of Calgary, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the age of 81 years. Salvatore was born on April 1, 1923 in San Giovanni In Fiore, Italy. He married Rosa on February 4, 1951 and together with their family they immigrated to Canada in 1961. Salvatore loved to sing and entertain. He enjoyed the company of his many friends and especially loved to be with his children and grandchildren. Besides his loving wife Rosa, Salvatore is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Maria and Giuseppe Ventura, and their family, Antonia (promisary Giuseppe Pangia), Francesco and Giovanni Ventura; his son and daughter-in-law, Giuseppe and Reta Verardi, and their family, Josaiah, Marcus, Ariel, and David; and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents and three sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
