Obituary of Milton Watchuk
Milton Watchuk, beloved husband of Reatha Watchuk of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at the age of 91 years.
Milton was born on July 24, 1913, in Winnipeg, MB. He moved to Calgary with his parents when he was a young boy. He was respected for his intellect and was a philosopher extraordinaire and gentleman. Milton had a love of flying and was one of the first pilots in Alberta with his last flight on his eightieth birthday in a World War II Harvard Aircraft.
Besides his loving wife Reatha, Milton is survived by his four step-children and their spouses, Dwayne Carter of Ladysmith, BC, Gerald and Lila Carter of Glenwood AB, Ron and Sue Carter of Okotoks, AB, Patricia Carter and Paul LeBlanc of Nanaimo, BC, and their families. He is also survived by his sister Maxeen Yarysh of Vancouver, BC; his nieces, Jeanne Watchuk ( Rick Goepel) and Helen (Wes) Hait, and Geraldine (Larry) Egger; and his nephews, Ted (Cyndy) Watchuk and Mike (Mary) Watchuk. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Waczko (Watchuk) born in Gakovivcy, Ukraine, and Pelagia Malanczuk who was born in Krocowicz Mlyny, Ukraine; and his two brothers, Stanley Watchuk, and Edmond Watchuk.
Funeral Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sundance Chapel, 100 Sunpark Drive S.E. on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
