Obituary of Lillian Hilda Leather

Lillian Hilda Leather passed away in Edmonton on Friday, February 5, 2005 at the age of 66 years. Lillian is survived by her companion Ronald Bearshirt, her children Velda, Pearline, Jesse (Genevieve), Sidney (Karen), Anthony (Doris), Greg (Delores), Pamela, her brothers Larry Leather (Sarah), Wayne Leather (Beverly), Clarence Leather Sr. (Sharon), her sisters Angeline Leather (Raymond), Annie (Joe) Running Rabbit, her only surviving auntie Roberta (Orville) Pelletier and her great auntie Nancy Melting Tallow. She will be missed by her forty two grandchildren, her eighteen great-grandchildren, twenty-nine nieces, nephews, her six great nieces, nephews and extended families; Jerry, Running Rabbit, Solway, Melting Tallow, Sitting Eagle, Redcalf, Bigchild, White Calf, Windyboy, Standing Rock, Running Bird, Crowchief, Alexander and the Saddleback. Lillian was predeceased by her maternal grandparents; Jim and Alpha Jerry, paternal grandparents Sam and Mary Leather, her step-grandmother Harriet Jerry, her parents Amos and Edna Leather, her ex husband Adam Edwards, her sisters Doreen and Jean, her brothers Clarence and George Leather and Thomas Jerry, her uncles Jack and George Jerry, and her aunties Rita, Mary and Nina. We apologize for any relatives that were not mentioned. Wake Services will be held at Little Washington Community Hall (Siksika Nation, AB) on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at 5:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ian Gagne, Presider.. Graveside Service to follow at Little Washington Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
