Obituary of Lucy Beattie

Lucy Beattie (nee Thomas), beloved wife of Allan Beattie of Calgary, passed away quietly on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the age of 88 years. Lucy was born May 27, 1916 in Birkenhead of Welsh parents and came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. Lucy and Allan were married on April 17, 1944 and celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in 2004. Lucy is survived by her husband Allan; her three children Colin (Dianne), Vivian (Terje) Salhus, Mavis (Bruce) Branston; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
