Obituary of Elsie Mary Smith

Elsie passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2005. She was born Elsie Mary Rutt on October 21, 1901 and was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1981 and her only child June Madder Cooper in 1989. Elsie is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Bill (Heather) Madder, Donna (David) Cheyne, Sharon Madder all of Calgary; David (Lois) Madder of Chatsworth, ON, and her step daughter Ann Ferguson of Ponoka. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. A private family celebration of Elsie’s life will be held. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the wonderful caring staff at Intercare Chinook Nursing Home for providing constant, excellent, loving and dignified care to Elsie for more than ten years. She was always happy and content due to their dedication to her well being.
