Obituary of Andrzej Stefan Skupinski

Andrzej passed away in his sleep Monday, January 3rd. He is survived by his wife Bogna and his children; Magda Dąbrowska of Poland, Krystyna (David) Vocadlo of Vancouver, Wiktor (Heather) Skupiński of Calgary, and his three grand-daughters Zosia, Ania and Agata of Poland. Andrzej was a man of many passions, as he had a real gusto for life. He was an avid skier and mountaineer. A well traveled geologist, he ventured into foreign countries such as Mongolia, Cuba and Algeria, climbing many peaks and photographing along the way. He had a penchant for Romanesque architecture, Napoleonic battles and plenty of wine which he made himself. He will be missed by his family, friends around the world and the Polish community of Calgary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Andrzej’s name to the Red Cross Tsunami Disaster Relief.
