Obituary of Terence John Roderick
Terry Roderick of Calgary, beloved husband of Linda Roderick and loving father to Alana age 11, passed away at home on Sunday, January 2, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Terry is also survived by his two eldest daughters and their families; Louise and Mike Ellis of Oakville, ON, and Caroline and Duane Hay of Burlington, ON; precious grandchildren, Samantha, Emily, and Michael; his family in Wales, his mother Hannah, and his sister Cynthia.
Terry was a loving father, husband, son and brother, a loyal friend, a caring and compassionate man. His courage and strength in his last years has been such a source of inspiration to us all. Despite his struggles, Terry loved life and never wanted to give up. That spirit and inner strength will live on in our family and those who loved him. Throughout his life Terry followed many paths and had many interests. He traveled extensively and lived in three different Countries while working in the Petrochemical Industry. He settled in Calgary eight years ago where he found great joy in fly fishing, camping, visiting the mountains, being a handyman around his home and enjoying time with loved ones.
The family wishes to thank the Staff and Doctors at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the Home Care Nurses for the loving care they provided during his illness.
Terry’s Funeral Service will be held at McKenzie Towne Church (7 McKenzie Town Gate S.E., Calgary) on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
