Obituary of Leo Lawrence German
Leo L. German, beloved husband of Mrs. Irene German of Calgary, passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at the age of 73 years.
Leo was born on May 7, 1931 in Keoma, AB. On November 7, 1953 Leo married his loving wife Irene. Leo worked for the City of Calgary in the Waste and Recycling department until his retirement in 1991. Leo enjoyed camping, square dancing with the Dots and Dashers, and especially being with family and friends. In his retirement he and Irene enjoyed many cruises to warmer climates.
Besides his loving wife, Irene, Leo is also survived by his children and their spouses, Larry and Janey German of Calgary, Wanda Vomacka and David Andrews of Surrey, BC, Tim German of Calgary, and Brian and Karen German of Calgary; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister Levina Heck and Matt of Calgary; also numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Leo was predeceased by his parents, Eva and John German.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W.) on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
