Obituary of Mirium Williams
Mirium Williams (nÚe Gerlitz) of Calgary, died suddenly at the Rockyview General Hospital on Saturday, December 25, 2004, at the age of 87 years.
Born and raised in Calgary’s Bridgeland community, Mirium was a faithful member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, which her father, John, and mother, Elizabeth, helped found and build. As a war bride, Mirium lived in England and Scotland from 1943 to 1947, when she returned to Calgary with her family. In 1955, the family moved to Edmonton, where she remained until 1997, when she returned to her beloved hometown.
Mirium is survived by her son Rod; her grandson Cameron; and her son Bill and his wife Dyanne. She will be sadly missed by members of the Gerlitz and Williams clans and by her many dear friends. Mirium was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Matheson Williams.
