Obituary of Benito Mettimano
Benito Mettimano of Calgary passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on Saturday, December 18, 2004 after a battle with cancer at the age of 68 years.
Benito was born on April 24, 1936 in Cereto, Teramo, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1956. Benito worked for CP Rail for twenty years, and then CANA for fifteen years, ending his work career at Lafarge for the last fifteen years. His greatest passion in life was for his family but he enjoyed an evening of dance whenever possible.
He is survived by a son Tony Mettimano of Calgary; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brunetta and Don Montgomery of Calgary, Sonya and George Mayo of Moose Jaw, SK, and Anna Mettimano of Edmonton, AB; nine grandchildren, Sheyanne (7), Chelsey (5), Courtney (2), Krystal (11 months), Janelle (9), Shantelle (7), Justyne (5), Kristyne (2), and Tony (18). Benito is also survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law, Emidio and Edda, Francesco and Aldagisa, Mario, Silvio and Linda and Claudio. He was predeceased by his parents Franco and Paolina Mettimano.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev.
