Obituary of Erika Hilda Nopper
Erika Hilda Nopper, beloved wife of Oskar of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 at the age of 72 years.
Erika was born on March 3, 1932 in Gutach, Germany. She married Oskar on February 13, 1954. They immigrated to Canada in April of 1960 to live in Ontario until coming to Calgary in 1978. The most important thing in Erika’s life was her home and family.
Besides her loving husband Oskar, Erika is survived by her five children, Antje and Jim Sharp, Michael and Lori, all of North Bay, ON, Klaus and Patti, Nancy and Jim Stewart, and Thomas, all of Calgary; eleven grandchildren, Martina, Jason, Tara, Jessica, Christina, Antye, Stephanie, Brittney, Billy, Cody, Amy; and one great-granddaughter, Alexia. Erika is also survived by a sister Melitta Nopper of Edmonton, AB; and a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Krista of Germany; stepfather, Erwin; as well as nieces and nephews, Martina, Jackie, and James. Erika was predeceased by her parents Helena and Joseph.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, December 3, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
