Obituary of John Churchill
John William Winston (Jack) Churchill, beloved husband of Marian Churchill of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the age of 80 years.
Jack was born on April 19, 1924 in Cleveland, East Yorkshire, England. He married Marian Wilson on March 31, 1945 in England, where theirF children were born and raised. On November 20, 1992 they immigrated to Canada.
“Closed are the eyes to us so dear,
Silent the voice we loved to hear;
His dear, dear face ne’er again we’ll see,
But engraved in our hearts his memory will be.”
Besides his loving wife Marian, Jack is remembered by two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Christine Churchill of Calgary, and Roger and Pauline Churchill of England; a daughter and son-in-law Janice and Roger Newcomb of Calgary; four grandchildren, Sharon, Stephen, Paula, and Karen; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jesse, Ty, and Dillon. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Bernard Jay; and a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Anne Churchill, all of England.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY”S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Carmen Stansberry of St. Paul’s Anglican Church officiating. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
