Obituary of George Nelson Partin
George Nelson (Nels) Partin of Calgary, passed away at the Beverly Centre Lake Midnapore on Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at the age of 87 years.
Nels was born on October 21, 1916 in Twickenham, England. He immigrated to Canada at a young age and graduated from Crescent Heights. Nels worked for International Harvester in his early years as a controller and later had his own business. He was active within the business community and made many life-long friendships. He enjoyed music and playing his drums. Nels and his late wife Kay were truly world travelers.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Colene and Don Oshanek of DeWinton, AB; three grandchildren, Tracey (Mark) Davis, David Oshanek, and Heather (Aaron) Regent; five great-grandchildren, Erin, Greg, Madeline, Grace and Isabelle; a brother Bob Partin of Calgary; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Kay and brother Bill.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Friday, October 22, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
