Obituary of Mile Vukovic

Mile Vukovic, beloved husband of Katharina Vukovic of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, October 4, 2004, after a brief illness at the age of 72 years. Mile was born on September 17, 1932 in Struga, Croatia. He married Katharina Blazevic in 1957. They immigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1958, where they resided until 1992 when they moved to Calgary. Mile was a long time member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and he loved fishing. Besides his loving wife Katharina, Mile is survived by his children, a son and daughter in-law, Joseph (Josip) and Francie Vukovic of Sherwood Park, and a daughter and son in-law, Josephine (Josipa) and Andjelko Cvitanovic of Calgary; four grandsons, Edward and Luke Vukovic, and Ivica and Mate Cvitanovic; a sister in-law Dragicia Vukovic of Croatia; two nieces, Carolina Vukovic of Croatia and Susan Vukovic of Germany; and a nephew Zvonimir Vukovic of Germany. Mile was predeceased by his mother Kata; his father Matija; and two brothers, Pero and Pavao.
