Obituary of Edlyn Nesbitt

Edlyn Nesbitt (nee Neumann) of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Sunday, September 5, 2004, after a brief illness at the age of 77 years. Edlyn was born June 20, 1927 in Edmonton, AB. She moved to Calgary as a young woman, working in the Oil and Gas Industry. Edlyn met Keith Nesbitt and they married in 1955. While raising her family she was a homemaker. Her passions were fine cooking, gardening and crafts. Edlyn was always surrounded by family, close friends and good neighbours. Her many acts of kindness, creativity and her personal strength will be greatly missed. Edlyn is remembered by a son, Ward Nesbitt; two daughters, Lesa Steeves and Kelly Nesbitt all of Calgary; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Sue Neumann of Edmonton, AB; a sister, Eleanore Pearson of Hamilton, ON; sister-in-law, Pearl Neumann of Edmonton, AB; brother-in-law, Michael Busczyk of Sacramento, CA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Edlyn was predeceased by her loving husband Keith Nesbitt. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
