Obituary of Gerrit Hendrikus Oldenhof

Gerrit Oldenhof of Calgary passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Saturday, July 31, 2004 with his two daughters by his side after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 84 years. Gerrit was born in Holland on April 8, 1920. He is survived by his two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Martina and Dennis Belanger, and Maria and Ross Mirka, all of Calgary; and by a surrogate son Gordon Yakemchuk, of Edmonton. He will also be missed by relatives and friends. Gerrit was predeceased by his wife Beertjie. A Celebration of Gerrit’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, August 16, 2004 at 10:00 A.M.
