Obituary of Lloyd Hubert Mackie

Lloyd Hubert Mackie, beloved husband of Linda Byma-Mackie, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 after a short illness at the age of 84 years. He was predeceased by his first love and wife, Minnie, in 1988, and will be missed by his sons, Brian (Elizabeth) and Darrell (Heidi); and grandchildren, Aaron (Kirstyn), Alissa, David and Kevin. He will also be missed by his second love and wife, Linda, who he married in 1990; and by her five children; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a kind gentle man whose life was an eloquent testimony of a man who walked closely with his Lord and Saviour and loved many with the love of Christ, a life which leaves a legacy of wisdom and wonderful balance for all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Blvd. N.W.) on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ian Trigg and Pastor Jake Hiebert officiating.
