Obituary of Kenneth Marvin Clausen

Kenneth Marvin Clausen, beloved husband of Victoria Clausen of Calgary, passed away peacefully, following a lengthy illness with pancreatic cancer, at the Rosedale Hospice on Monday, July 19, 2004 at the age of 67 years. Ken was born and raised in Regina, completing his high school followed by an apprenticeship and certification as a Journeyman Carpenter. He moved to Calgary in 1960, continuing in the construction trade until entering the U of A in 1963 where he completed his Bachelor of Education in Vocational Education and Diploma in Educational Administration. He was also a Teacher and a Technical Department Head with the Calgary Board of Education from 1964 to 1994. Ken was active with the Brentwood Community Association in the sport programs and on the Board of Directors. He enjoyed curling at the Calgary Winter Club and square dancing. He travelled on five international band trips with the Central Memorial Golden Rams Bands as a Chaperone, Equipment Manager and Tour Director.
