Obituary of Douglas William Crowchief

Douglas “William” Crowchief of Tsuu T’ina Nation, formerly of Morley, AB, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2004 at the age of 22 years. William was presently attending school in Hobbema and Calgary. He always had a strong belief in his traditional culture, participating in pow-wows, round dances and sun dances. William’s caring personality always led him to help anyone in need. All those that knew him will miss him for his laughter, sense of humour, always teasing someone in a loving way. William is survived by his mother Dawn Crowchief; sisters, Christina, Anna(Brad), Jerrie-Lynn(Jeff); brother Ethen; nieces and nephews, Parnell, Craig, Twyla, and Nevin Crowchief; cousins, Brianna, Devin, and Desiree Morin, Noah, Raylena and Bonnie Abraham; and auntie Marlene Morin. William was predeceased grandmother Dolly Morin; grandpa Douglas Crowchief; sister Monica Dawn; uncles, Charles and Allister Crowchief; and cousins, Alex and Austin Abraham. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Adrian and Brenda Hunter, Morley, AB on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. and Thursday, July 22, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at the Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. Graveside Service to follow at Wesley Cemetery, Morley, AB.
