Mary Krigovsky

Obituary of Mary Krigovsky

Mary Veronica, beloved sister and best friend of Anne, peacefully passed away at the Bow View Manor after a courageous, long battle with cancer on June 26, 2004. A long-time resident of Calgary and Southern Alberta, Mary worked many years for the Dept. of Environment (Weather) Calgary until her retirement. Mary was a happy, considerate person and her values encompassed love and loyalty to family and her close circle of friends. A great cook/hostess, she also loved musical concerts, sewing, gardening and travel to the mountains and places of interest in the city and spend quality time with family and friends, both number one on her list of importance. Although plagued by ill health over the last twenty years, she always looked ahead to a better tomorrow. “I’m fine!” always her standard answer. She will be missed by all for her buoyant, honest personality–no affectations here–just truth, joy and good cheer. She was predeceased by her dear parents and a number of relatives and friends in U.S., Canada and Czechoslovakia. Besides her loving/caring sister Anne, thanks to her special cousin, Fran (U.S.A.), very special friends Amy, Murray, Hazel, Doris and Don and an old, dear school friend Mrs. Ann McMillan (Medicine Hat) as well as far-away B.C. friends Nina, Helen and others who played such an important part in her life. Thanks, to the staff of the Foothills Hospital, the caring Tom Baker Centre and lastly the treatment by the staff of the Bow View Manor. Thanks also to her doctor Dr. Patrick Lai, for his kind care.
