Obituary of Philip D. Botly
Philip D. Botly of Calgary passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at the age of 74 years.
Philip was born on April 23, 1930 in Toronto, ON. He took his schooling in Toronto. Philip went to R.M.C. for two years and then went into the Airforce as a Flight Navigator. In 1956, he went to the Canadian Pacific in Vancouver, BC and then on to Wardair in Edmonton in 1962, then finishing his career with Canadian Airlines in flight operations. Philip retired in 1991 in Calgary.
Philip is survived by his loving wife Alice; two daughters, Suzanne (Nick) and Kathryn (Ken); three step-children, Trevor (Marilyn), Kevin (Teresa), and Brenda (Philip); fourteen grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; a brother Lionel (Diane); two nieces; and a nephew; as well as many other relatives and friends. Philip was predeceased by his parents; a granddaughter; and his first wife Irene.
Funeral Services will be held at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour (8831 Fairmount Drive S.E.) on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with the Pastor Don McLeod presiding.
