Obituary of Allan George Rex
Allan George Rex of Calgary passed away tragically on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the age of 58 years.
Allan was born in St. John’s, NF and as a young man at Bishop’s College earned the reputation of being a strong athlete and a fearless competitor. He was an enthusiastic story-teller while winning many loyal friendships. He loved working at the Calgary Stampede, but his work at Poulsen Trucking was Allan’s dream job. He will be remembered for his quick wit, kindness and humour.
Allan is survived by his wife Olivera MacIsaac-Rex and step-daughters Michelle and Tanya Locke; his children Michael and Christina Rex; his brother and sister-in-law Doug and Marilyn; aunt Phoebe; uncle Cecil; cousin David; three nephews Doug Jr., Gregory, and Brian; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his beautiful mother Olive Rex (nee Butler) and father Raymond Rex.
A Celebration of Allan’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, June 29, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. To forward condolences go to www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
