Obituary of Annie Punko

Annie Punko of Calgary passed away at the Dr. Vernon Fanning Centre on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at the age of 91 years. Annie was born in Holowickie, Belarus in 1913. She married Joseph in 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1938 to join her husband, settling in Bassano, AB. She moved to Calgary in 1995 after Joseph passed away and then resided at the Shouldice Lodge until this April. She had many challenges during her lifetime and took each on with courage. Annie was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was cherished by her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and was proud of her many craft works. Annie is survived by her three children, John and Louise, Daniel, and Nancy and Orest Pashulka; six grandchildren, Nick Punko, Sacha and Doug Rae, Jason Punko, Kimberly Punko, Michael Pashulka, and Alexander Pashulka; and a great-granddaughter Alexandra Rae. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 10:00 A.M.
