Obituary of Calf Robe
Darrell Calf Robe of Siksika Nation and of the Blood Reserve went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at the age of 36 years.
Affectionately known as “Turtle”, Darrell was born and raised on the Siksika Nation and on the Blood Reserve. He was educated at Carsland School and Old Sun School. Darrell was known for his helpfulness, kindness and friendliness. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and always loved by his family, friends and relatives.
Darrell is survived by his siblings, William, Lynnie (Dave), Harvey, Robert and Harold Jr. (Wynette); numerous nieces and nephews; uncles and aunts, Pauline (Winston), Molly (Rodgerick), Stephen, Elizabeth and Raymond, all of the Blood Reserve; Marina (Noel) Yellow Fly, Floria (Charlie) Duck Chief, Irene (Frankie) Bull Bear, and Helen Cutter, all of Siksika Nation; and Irene One Penny of Washington, DC; grandmothers, Rita Calf Robe, Cecil Gros Ventre Boy and Mary Lillian Cutter; grandfather George Fox. Darrell was predeceased by his parents, Christine and Harold Cutter; sisters, Carol, and Leslie Faye; brother Ken; grandfather Ed Calf Robe Sr.; grandparents Rosie and Charlie Cutter; aunts, Evelyn Cutter, Margaret Red Gun, and Terry Calf Robe; uncles, Ronald Cutter and Ed Calf Robe Jr.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Mary Lillian Cutter, on Monday, June 14, 2004 at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika, AB) Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ian Gagne Presider.
