Obituary of Terry Wood

Teresa Dawn Wood (Terry), beloved wife of Dale of Crossfield, passed away at home on May 30, 2004, after a lengthy illness at the age of 47 years. Dale and Terry started life together on September 23, 1980 in Edmonton, AB moved to Crossfield and on April 29, 1985 their son Ryan joined the family. They enjoyed closeness with friends and family. Terry loved bowling and bingo, winning many prizes and awards. She also started her beautiful collections of houseplants and antiques. Terry’s greatest moments were the birth of her children. She loved to camp at her favorite spot, Kookanoosa Camp Grounds, within Fernie, BC. She loved being outdoors with family and friends. Terry had adventurous sense of humor. Many of us have been blessed by her giving, love, and caring nature. She will be sadly and greatly missed. Besides her loving husband, Dale, Terry is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Colleen and Tim McConnell of Rollyview, AB; one son Ryan of Crossfield, AB; bonus children, Nicole (Trevor) Woods and family of Westlock, AB and Jeff Hagel of Stettler, AB. She is also survived by her mother Vivian Norman of Olds, AB; mother-in-law Alice Wood of Crossfield, AB; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Les and Dawn Finnigan of Edmonton, AB, Darren and Fran Regnier of Penticton, BC, and Jason and Trudy Regnier and family of Edmonton, AB; two sisters and one brother-in-law Julie Ince and family of Calgary, AB, Kelly and Dave Siemens and family of Olds, AB. Terry was predeceased by her father Ken Finnigan of Edmonton and her father-in-law Gordon Wood of Crossfield, AB. Funeral Services will be held at Crossfield Community Centre(900 Mountain Avenue) on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Ralph W. Spencer of Airdrie United Church officiating.
